Men’s Prostate and Genito-Urinary Tonic. The herbs in this formula have been shown to benefit the prostate gland and surrounding tissues as well as promote better secretions and waste excretions from the genito-urinary system.

Contents: Saw Palmetto berry, African Pygeum bark, Horsetail grass, Hydrangea root, fresh Nettle leaf, Echinacea angustifolia root, Pipsissewa herb and Cleavers flowering herb in a base containing concentrated Rose Hips extract. 20 to 45 drops 2-4 times daily. Saw Palmetto berry (Serenoa repens)

Actions: Diuretic, tonic, urinary antiseptic, endocrine agent.

Common Use: This herb acts to tone and strengthen the male reproductive system. It may be used safely where a boost to the male sex hormones is required. It is specific in cases of enlarged prostate glands.

African Pygeum bark (Pygeum africanum)

Actions: Specific in prostate and genito-urinary conditions.

Common Uses: Pygeum is a large evergreen that grows in the high plateaus of southern Africa.

Horsetail grass (Equisetum arvense) aka Shavegrass

Actions: Astringent, diuretic, vulnerary.

Common Uses: The essential element, silicon, is present in very large amounts in Horsetail. Silicon is necessary for the body to properly utilize calcium. People shown to have calcium deficiencies may not deficient in calcium at all, but rather actually lack silicon in their diets, thus not properly utilizing calcium resulting in deposits.

Fresh Nettle leaf (Urtica dioica)

Common Use: Echinacea is the prime remedy to help rid the body of microbial infections. This plant shows up in most herbal cold, flu and fever formulas, for this purpose it combines well with golden seal. Pipsissewa herb (Chimaphila umbellata)

Actions: Diuretic, tonic, alterative, astringent.

Common Use: This herb finds its main use as a urinary antiseptic and as a diuretic with a beneficial effect on the liver, kidney and bladder. In disorders of the urinary organs, it is especially effective in relieving irritation and catarrhal conditions of the kidneys and bladder, reducing uric acid, and helping against deposits of stone and gravel.

Cleavers flowering herb (Galium aparine)

Actions: Diuretic, alterative, anti-inflammatory, tonic, astringent, antineoplastic.

Common Use: As a lymphatic tonic with alterative and diuretic actions, cleavers is perhaps the best tonic for the lymphatic system available. It is also considered helpful in aiding lymphatic drainage and thus detoxifies the tissue.
